Marlborough Junior Woman's Club Donates to Food Pantry

The GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman's Club presented a check for $2000 on December 5, 2008 to the Marlborough Food Pantry. MJWC members Sue Waudby and Kathleen Goneau presented the check to Carol Phipps, Coordinator of the Marlboro Community Services office. The funds were given to the food pantry to help with the increased demand for their services over the holidays.

The donation represents a portion of the proceeds from "Deal or No Deal-Marlborough Style" held at the Courtyard Marriott by the MJWC in October. Modeled after the television show "Deal or No Deal", local community leaders acted as case holders while those attending the event had a chance to win prizes.
