MJWC Committees
Here is a list of the major committees within club.
- ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN
Encourage members to become active advocates for children by working to protect children from harmful situations, encourage healthy lifestyles, to prevent substance abuse and to prevent youth suicide. Several resources are listed such as websites and information regarding aspects such as bullying and children's health. Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) has had the help of several GFWC clubs who work tirelessly to provide color coded bags that contain medical equipment designed for children and other such goals.

- ARTS
The objective of the Arts in the Community Program is to encourage members to foster and support arts activities in their communities. Suggest activities include the support of VSA Arts, Art for Youth activities, and support of local theatre groups, awarding music and drama scholarships, promoting community film festivals and establishing an 'Artist in Residence' program.

- CONSERVATION
Educate members and communities about the importance of preserving natural resources and community beautification and stimulate citizen action to address these concerns.

- DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Educate members and others about domestic violence and encourage citizen action to address multiple domestic violence concerns.
- EDUCATION
Educate members and others about:
- Adult, family and youth literacy
- Promote a commitment to life-long learning by encouraging members and other to foster and support educational opportunities in their communities.

- EMPOWERING WOMEN
Motivate and educate GFWC members to become empowered, boosting self esteem and self image.
- HOME LIFE
Educate members and others about:
- Organizations that improve the lives of those in need and provide opportunities to offer support.
- The need to protect children and adults from preventable diseases through effective immunization programs; encourage citizen action on these issues.
- The most prevalent medical problems affecting women today and encourage women to adopt proven methods for optimizing their own physical health and quality of life.
- Recent Projects: Food Pantry donations, Countryside Village Room Makeovers, Adopted Family
- INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
Educate members and others about:
- World needs and provide opportunities to offer support.
- United Nations programs concerning women and children, and support GFWC's presence as a UN Non-governmental Organization Observer.
- MEMBERSHIP
- The membership committee works to recruit new members, retain existing members, and help make new members feel welcome.
- PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Educate members and others about:
- The importance of active citizenship, veteran's affairs and historical preservation and encourage participation in related activities.
- Community, home and vehicle safety issues and encourage citizen action on these issues.
- Recent Projects: Cool Ties for soldiers, Operation Quiet Comfort, WHALE
- PUBLICITY
Works to increase public awareness of the accomplishments of the MJWC and its members, improve the club's identity through effect public speaking, and use of the media.
- WAYS AND MEANS
Provides fundraising ideas to enable the club to make physical and financial donations. Recent events include Dancing with Celebrities: Marlborough Style and Trivia Night.
