The GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman's Club (MJWC) is a member General Federation of Women's Clubs International (GFWC) and receives support and assists in national volunteerism as well. Each club member pays annual dues to cover our operating costs, but donates her time and energies to assure our community has the services it needs. To be a member of MJWC is to be part of a world-wide organization dedicated to active citizenship.
A good reason to join is because we are an interesting, fun and diverse group of women who enjoy working in our community. At one of our business meetings, our Vice President, asked each of us to write a word or short phrase about ourselves on a sticky note. We had a little fun but were also serious. She collected them and the result is quite a list. It is, in our own words, who we are. It should give a good idea how diverse our membership is!

Shortly after Elizabeth joined, she said of MJWC:.
"The events that I have participated in to date and the women that I have started to get to know strengthens my first impression of MJWC. It is an organization that brings so much positive energy to the community and to every program and person it becomes connected to."

Our bylaws require you attend at least one meeting before applying for membership.
Our next meeting will be Tuesday September 7, 2010 at Applebriar in Marlborough at 7:30pm. If you are a new or interested member who would like to attend or need more information, email join@marlboroughjuniors.org.
