The Home Life department concerns itself with family, health, children and the elderly. It has in the past sponsored an annual Christmas party for handicapped children; supported our local homeless shelter and food pantry, served at the Mayor’s Dinner for Senior Citizens, Marlborough Holiday Helpers, American Cancer Society, the United Way, and many other agencies. It has coordinated assistance throughout the year to a local needy family. It is also responsible for selecting the recipient of the MJWC Clubwoman of the Year Award. Additional projects include collecting items for Easter baskets that are assembled and given to various local organizations to be distributed to families with small children and providing additional resources throughout out the year for an “adopted” family in need as well as families in transition.
